Jerahmy

the DVD burner is ATAPI.

cdrecord -scanbus returns

Cdrecord-Clone 2.01 (i386-unknown-freebsd6.2) Copyright (C) 1995-2004
cdrecord: Error 0. Cannot open SCSI driver.
cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'.
cdrecord: For possible transport specifiers try 'cdrecord

I'm using the generic kernel

dmesg reports the device as

acd0: DVDR <PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-112D/1.09> at ata1-master UDMA66

I use mplayer to listen to audio.

I did not try burning under linux, I only tested that cdrecord -scanbus
could find the device which it could.

I don't think there is a hardware fault because I burnt the FreeBSD 6.2 CDs
but using OpenBSD.

Glenn.
