with dhcp, oldest out first, if your cablemodem/router stays on there is 
next to no chance of changing ip addresses. it will renew at half time 
and receive a full lease time (which is 7 days for optus, no idea for 
telstra).

if you are on optus cable you can just 'camp' on an ip, by getting it 
via dhcp, then static setting it on your router. but thats bad behaviour 
(tisk)
