this sounds like a pair of fujitsu drives i have some time ago.. 30 plus years,
both of which only died recently. one had an esdi interface the other scsi the
media was identicl .. only the part #, ok teh cable plug connectors would giove
   them away.

these drives would keep coffee drinkble i.e. hot in summer during a heatwave, i
got badly burned twice and you should see teh heatstains blue/yellow
discolouration aroud teh drive motors power point .. they also kept my room
   warm.

also one other quirk, they would rattle like a freight train commig through
teh bedroom at nidnihgt when maximus would start up midnight maintenece and
they they would really shake teh room when os/2/netware started to prune/purge
   teh mailinglist/newsgroups/echomail databases.

they don't make stuff like they used too, i suppose its called buildedin
obscelesences or some concept like that

   life i guess..

at least it didn;t keep your coffee "hot" .. grin
