I've used MacPorts (www.macports.org) and it seems quite nice (and BSD 
like). One of the orignal ppl involved in FreeBSD ports was also involved 
in the start of this IIUC.

I forget the name of the other big one for OSX but it seemed to be more a 
Linux style pkg system. It's been a while since I tried anything other 
than macports though so I probably couldn't really be more precise on that 
:-)
