o'well i suppose at some point apple would have to go backwards
in terms of cpu choice .. i'm a cpu bigot and prefer the
mc68xxx seris as being a far far better architecure than
anything intel can dream up or 'borrow' so to speak.

thx andrew thats fine for waht i want to do ,, big fonts with a
decent look (needs lots of pixel) i.e. A4 spread by at least 50
percen and on teh bad days 100 percetn plus magnification
(those 32 in lcd ar looking good when the costs come down).

yes and know .. i am sick and tired of having to build a
workable userinterface and then one that suits my needs .. i
don't really want to go to a linux turn key desktop, but, i
have seen a few really nice ones of late, before i go that far
i am hoping ot get a copy of pc bsd to tyr out. i've gotten a
couple of 2gb usd plugins that i'm going to try as the 'hard
disk' for a couple of those 'run from cdrom', oops live-cd type
offerings, a few bsd type seem to be surfacing, i quite like
teh anonymous (openbsd based, i think) live-cd its a really
good internet cafee companion something like that, just plugin
teh cd makes a few basic scratchings and you have a compltee
cml/gui (thake your pick) environment .. also easy to
navigate/use (i think).

i've been speaking to some mac owners (ok apple bigots) when i
filter teh BIAS it makes for a really compelling case (for my
needs). i really don't understand why this kind of bitternes,
this kind of pointless emnity exists between apple/intel
bsd/linux/microsoft. it makes getting information from teh
relevant camps (really) difficult at times, really confusing.

oh well thats life i suppose ..

thanks for teh words, muchly appreciated.
