I have a MacBook, it's only a 13" screen but I like it. Easy to carry
around and such and the 17" MacBook Pro was a bit out of my price
range. All Apple systems use Intel CPUs now btw, as the PPC chips were
not being built fast enough or something any more.. 1680 x 1050 pixels
is what the 17" is rated for (they are wide screen). They also have
the new super thin MacBook Air, it doesn't have a 17" screen though.
I really like Apple stuff because it's of a higher quality and design,
but it's also of a higher price tag..
I'v had issues with recent Dell systems, they have some crazy bios/
chipset that is non-standard and only works properly with windows. I
used to use A-Bit motherboards a lot and they were mostly reliable and
also KingMax RAM modules. I never much liked boards with VIA chip
sets, always had issues.. Maybe they are better these days..
So in actual fact I have no advice =p
Cheers,
Jerahmy.
