Maybe, but it could just be some sort of timeout occuring (which would
be in the software), and it resets the interface at a regular interval.
The underlying cause could still be hardware related.

I was getting heaps too so I moved to a non-standard port. That
improved things dramatically. I had attacks really frequently so I
don't know if you can imply anything about your link problems from
that if they happen around the clock.

That's only 2 min, not 4, and it's not an even interval either.
