I have a Brother 2700CN laser printer.  The quality of photo output is
acceptable, but barely.  I can believe that ink jets are better,
though my decade old Epson was obviously not the right choice.

I don't normally print photos; I put them on the web.  If I needed to,
I'm sure I'd follow the crowd (this time!) and go to the local
chemist.
