I was looking at the Samba web admin today, I forget what it's
called, something with 4 letters.. Anyway it seemed more complicated
and harder to use than just editing the conf file directly if you ask
me! I couldn't find how to set a share level password anywhere in it
and after putting allowed users to write to a share and applying, the
option to put who can write no longer shows up in basic mode, only
advanced.. In other words it's horrible!

The most redeeming feature is that each option has a link to
documentation about what that option is for, which is nice, but I
can't see how you would configure Samba entirely using the web based
interface, you still need to create unix users and groups and set the
owner and group on the files. I would have thought that should all be
part of the web interface to it..

So yes, I was planning on trying to make an 'admin' page that linked
to the various web admin tools, but if I have trouble using them...
