[BUGS] x11 & window managers & admin tools

Hello,

I haven't actually used any x11 desktop in forever, the last thing I  
used
was KDE and it was a little buggy and sort of seemed like it was trying
to be windows..

To be honest I don't really LIKE x11 very much..

So I'm not much help with configuring it!

But I wanted to add to this question, along the lines of what window  
manager,
desktop combination is easy to use and set up? And what if any admin  
tools
exist with some sort of x11 GUI front-end? Can you actually admin a  
system
through GUI?

The main reason behind this question is giving windows admins a fighting
chance to fix a FreeBSD server I'v set up when/if they can't get me  
quickly
enough. They aren't stupid, just allergic to shell interfaces, if  
they had a GUI
I'm sure they could figure it out, maybe, ish..
