[BUGS] Hello

If (perceived) lack of interest is the problem, how does changing the medium from one that already has a bunch of rusted-on subscribers, and using a protocol that everyone, on every platform can use, to one (as yet unnamed) with no current subscribers and an unknown uptake rate or client software availability help?
