[BUGS] IRC

I love the old strength in numbers angle (moderated by the law of large numbers: 12 is enough!)

Never done IRC, so I don't really have an oar in this race (but I do BUGS).

Question for the gathered nabobs: do the recent machinations around ownership of .org, and the likely (at least possible) future expense bear on this issue at all?

Side order, for extra points: as one generally interested in beer, and unaware of imgur, what's an IRC, and how does one wrangle it in a convenient fashion? Is it better than email?

Cheers,
