Due to unforseen circumstances...

 http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-hubs/2012-August/002539.html

I decided to pull the the domain name advertised on this list
(svn.au.FreeBSD.org) sooner rather than later in order to inconvenience
as few users as possible. That means the following will no longer work.

The mirrored repositories are still being kept synchronized and are
being served on

  freebsd.riverwillow.net.au

but you might prefer to use an official mirror:
  http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/mirrors-svn.html
The nearest to Australia is on the USA West Coast.

  svn0.us-west.FreeBSD.org

Anyone who has started using the svn.au.FreeBSD.org mirror for
checkouts and updates will need to reconfigure Subversion in their local
working directories (e.g. /usr/src or /usr/ports) to use a different
source (svn0.us-west.FreeBSD.org, freebsd.riverwillow.net.au, or
something different).

  $ cd /usr/src
  $ svn relocate svn://svn.au.freebsd.org/ svn://svn0.us-west.FreeBSD.org/

  $ cd /usr/ports
  $ svn relocate svn://svn.au.freebsd.org/ svn://svn0.us-west.FreeBSD.org/

Sorry about the muddle. I didn't see that coming.
