System Administrator


       * Permanent role
       * Salary up to $85,000 plus super

CalorieKing is looking for a System Administrator to join our System
Administration Team based in Perth. The successful applicant will be
responsible for administration of the live hosting environment
comprising of web and database servers located in the Perth CBD and in
the United States, as well as development and intranet servers located
at our Nedlands office.

Additionally, your responsibilities will include:

       * Monitoring system stability and performance
       * Writing documentation
       * Administration of the office LAN
       * Some desktop support to office staff

The right applicant will have:

       * At least 2 years commercial experience as a UNIX/Linux System
         Administrator
       * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
       * Excellent troubleshooting skills
       * The ability to work unsupervised and use initiative
       * A willingness to learn
       * Knowledge/awareness of the following technologies:
               * FreeBSD and/or Linux
               * TCP/IP networking
               * DNS
               * MTAs (Postfix, Sendmail)
               * firewalls
               * scripting languages (shell, PHP, Python)
               * web servers (Apache/thttpd/lighttpd etc)
               * database systems (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
               * SQL
               * Virtualisation technologies / VMWare
               * High availability and load balancing/failover
                 technologies

       * Have an interest in weight management, wellness, and lifestyle

Also desirable but not required is:

       * Knowledge/awareness of:
               * Cisco IOS
               * Foundry ServerIron load balancers
               * Java Application Servers (Tomcat)
       * Previous experience:
               * with PostgreSQL
               * working in a web hosting environment
               * working with developers
