greetings all,
what happened over teh 'christmas break' has bugs headed of into any new
directions ??
to those involved in this discussion, from teh corner group (grin) where the
real computers were set up .. the 30 plus year old ones that is.
i'm looking to further my fading knowledge of teh relative benefits of teh G4
processor over teh newer (and less capable) G5.
Alistair (sorry if i got it wrong), as regards our side chat i can now recieve
mail .. 18 mb of garbage was backed and arrived a few seconds after the big dns
server told teh world where to find my humble/little domain .. those vermin
are quick.
apologies to teh chappie whom was collecting keys .. some details please about
how to get mine on teh chain please .. you should be able to get my relevent
details from this post .. i guess.
note: i may have some sun 64bit machines for good homes (read that to mean
freebsd/bsd developers (ok linux dev types as well). target is about 6 (512mb
with 2 gb scsi drive, some with cdrom some with more some essentially complete
motherboards), again if interested please mail me. at this point there is no
real timetable, i've got some few tons of intel garbage to toss before i
seriously concider ditching teh sun stuff.
if anyone is interested in a spare 17 inch crt, or two, or .. like for teh
router in teh corner .. colour 1024x1280 reasonable good quality tubes not
burned to buggery.
don't suppose anyone is interested in 486/386 router/printserver, didn't
think so .. ok.
to those who are saying i never thought, i'd see the day, well i did'nt either,
well not teh concious part of me at any rate .. at any rate that day has come
and it is today, metaphorically speaking.
also got some apple external drive housing replete with apple scsi cables (the
housings are scsi I - centronics type cable connects ... there are some 5 6 7
.. a few ok all have iec 10 amp 240 vAC plug (might be able to russel up same
cable connects.
well thats all
take care
kind regards
jonathan
