We should try this some time; Ubuntu on the desktop/server space,
FreeBSD on the appliances and high availability servers. Now the latter
sounds like a small market share but consider how many people fail to
acknowledge the presence of these intelligent little devices. They're
already appearing for clean-up on the streets of Sydney in abundance.
