   greetings, gentle peoples ...

i've been reading 'bat' book mk1 here is a post that i found in my w0mailinglist mail-user-id.

the thing that i fail to comprehend, essentially, is how i was able to
send this to myself, more to teh point how the sending host was able to inject
this post into my mail-servers inbound mail-queque so as to make it look like
i sent it to myself ???

if it makes a difference, i do have uucp installed/configured (i run it from
time to time for testing) as i do have some mail that comes here via uucp (style
mail transport adgents). from a couple of chappies still running fidonet technol-
ogy based mail systems .. who said fidonet is dead .. <GRIN>

one other item, i (mutt(8)) "bounced" this article from the mailinglist account-
/userid over to this 'normal' user-account that i use to nteract with the world out
there, i think that i have gotten teh respective names correct in teh headers and
teh log file as well to keep the perspective intact, so to speak .. yes ???

do do not see how this can be done other than the sending machine is pretending
to be the machines that teh headers are claiming to be, but mine "IS" and would it
not puke if i discovered that it was trying to talk to itself ??

much kind regards and sincee appreciations

   jonathan
