its a whole heap of kde apps running inside kde on x11 it is my desktop
   machine/gui workstation .. its whats i 's gots

xorg eats up 99 M the k stuff comes in at 300,000K there is about a doxen or
so. i estime its going to lock up tomorrow or friday at latest them i'm going
to restart and keep a window open on teh sesktop with top/systat -vmstat and
:swap open to watch what happens .. whatever it is that is happening it is
doing it slowly but not 'reliably/repeatably so all that i can say now is that
it takes 2 to 3 months and then it locksup after all teh swap space is
exhausted ,,, ggrrr, bit annoying me thinks.

away from rebooting/restarting is there anyway of clearing out teh swap space
memory .. would using temporay/filesysten (vnode i think its called) swap space
in a dedicated filesystem space and .. this is starting to sound weird .. sorry

this machine has only 256 mb dram and cannot be upgraded .. no matter what
(hardware limitations- memory controller only understands 128mb dimms)

   thanks and regards
