[BUGS] Problem with DVD writer

Hello,

I put a DVD writer in this server to facilitate creating some backup  
sets, but it's not behaving..

I get:

acd0: DMA limited to UDMA33, controller found non-ATA66 cable
acd0: DVDR <ATAPI DVD A DH20A4P/9P57> at ata0-master UDMA33

Then when I try to load atapicam thingy it says:

acd0: FAILURE - INQUIRY ILLEGAL REQUEST asc=0x24 ascq=0x00

So I thought I would just use burncd and skip the ata-scsi bridging,  
but when trying to do use it I get:

acd0: FAILURE - READ_TRACK_INFO ILLEGAL REQUEST asc=0x24 ascq=0x00


If I replace the cable with an 80pin ATAT66 compatible one, might this  
fix everything? Or any other ideas on why it's generating an illegal  
request on everything?
