[BUGS] search/replace - cr/lf (with joe)

greetings

starting to play with .csv files from a past life .. not so
grin.

and wa wondering about how to replace teh combination of
carriage return and line feed symbols frm teh end of line and
or teh 'paragraph' marker in old pc dos files imported into
freebsd and now look like std 'unix text' files.

i use joe (the, v6.2 freebsd, one in packages) i've looked in
'google' ok my version of same the www search space its only
talking about effects of cr/lf manipulations.effects of with
files for/in java or xml type stuff .. nothing to do wih what i
am trying to do .. as far as i can tell. also they are talking
about things like ajax and a whole lot of other ms windows type
editors or ms win editions of the usual suspects (vim/vi/emacs
and or severl other somewhat obscure editions.

some assistance would be graciously appreciated, it is getting
to be somewhat confusing..
