my $.2 (may not apply no newer iBooks):
*) hardware - iBook G4
*) Currently running OpenBSD (before that - NetBSD and long ago Gentoo
and Ubuntu)
*) making the laptop go to sleep (e.g. zzz) is not possible or not as
simple as it sounds (due to differences in PC/Apple BIOS(less)ness) -
is this still the case btw with newer machines?
*) don't recall the issue(s) with wireless NIC drivers (but I think
there may have been a few...)
