[BUGS] dns, a question

Yes, for example if you have used "mail" as a cname, you should be able to
point your mail client program to a host that is apparently called mail.

Then the idea is that when your mail machine falls over you can
temporarily set up another box as the mail server, change the cname in the
dns to point to the temporary mail box, and your thousand mail users out
there (crammed in your lounge room presumably) won't have to change a
thing on their desktops.

And similar with other uses and other cnames like www, ftp, or whatever,
they'll always look like the real name to the client programs.
