I have Exetel ADSL2 - but the resold PowerTel product (the resold Optus
product requires telephone bundling which I'm loathe to do for any
reason). Nothing but good things to say about Exetel (previously had
ADSL1 8 Mbps and 1.5 Mbps with them).

I also have ADSL 1.5 Mbps with aaNet, a reasonable runner-up to Exetel.

I two Billion 741GEs for ADSL1 which were rock solid and so upgraded to
a Billion 7300 for ADSL2. Biggest mistake I ever made - it's 18 months
later with numerous firmware up and downgrades and they still can't get
it working reliably. Worse, bugs which I reported and were fixed in one
firmware release then re-appeared in a later firmware release. After
dealing with their engineers in Taiwan and local supplier for more than
a year, I've now given it up as a waste of my time.

Instead, I'm now using a couple of $20 Siemens 4200s (bought off eBay in
Optus "starter kits"). Remote syslog, comprehensive line diagnostics,
and ADSL2 sync solid as a rock - I figured there was a reason why Optus
and Telstra used them and I was right :)

Remember Cisco Systems bought LinkSys for the low end, and their ADSL
kit is pretty low end ;)

Of course, these days, the Cisco stuff is not *that* expensive, but if
you're not already familiar with their incredibly obtuse IOS, I'd give
them a miss.
