Personally, I've been using the good old University of Washington IMAP
server on FreeBSD for years.  This is just for a personal IMAP server;
I'm not running a large multi-user site with it. Earlier this year at
my new job I wanted to set up another personal IMAP server on Linux, and
I tried Dovecot and Courier, and had problems with both of them. I gave
up and just installed the UW IMAP server again. Maybe I'm just not 13Et
enough to run the more modern, new-fangled IMAP servers.

Cheers,

    Bernie
